We have compiled this list of Frequently Asked Questions with the help of many of our valued past guests.
It is our goal to provide you with as much information about our resort and the local area to assist you in preparation of, and during your stay.
This list of FAQ’s is constantly being updated with answers to questions most commonly asked by our guests.

Can I put extra people in my room?

To add extra people to your room costs $40 per night (includes bed hire). Rooms are designed to suit the maximum occupancy using the existing bedding. Some larger style rooms can sleep 1 extra person using a rollaway bed.

However, please note if utilising a rollaway bed the sleeping arrangement will become very tight. For your comfort we would recommend stepping up to a larger room type.

Do the units have air conditioning?

The majority of our apartments have reverse cycle air conditioning and some units are also fitted with ceiling fans as an alternative to using the air conditioning.  Please advise us at the time of booking so we can ensure we deliver on your requirements.

Do we have to bring our own linen? i.e. pillows, towels, sheets, pool towels?

All linen is provided in the Apartments. Our apartments are not serviced daily, bookings of 9 nights or longer do receive a mid stay service. All of our apartments do come fully equipped with Laundry facilities for your use during your stay. Should you require extra linen or amenities during your  stay we can certainly arrange this for an additional charge.

Burleigh Mediterranean Resort provides complimentary pool towels in your apartment for use during your stay.

Do you have Cot Hire?

Yes we do. Cot hire is $10.00 per night or a flat fee of $30.00 per week. Please be sure to notify our staff of your cot requirements at the time of making your booking.

Do you have safe secure parking?

Burleigh Mediterranean Resort has FREE and secure underground car park accessed via Sixth Avenue. A valid room key is required to gain access through the security roller door as well as to exit. Each apartment has one allocated cars pace.

What facilities are nearby?

There is a small 7/11 convenience store located on the corner of Fifth Avenue & Gold Coast Highway, in the same block as Burleigh Mediterranean Resort for all those last minute items as well as a large Coles Supermarket, Liquorland, Chempro Chemist, takeaways are located on the Gold Coast Highway just a short 5-10 minute walk from Burleigh Mediterranean Resort.

Boutique shopping precinct and numerous cuisine dining options to suit all tastes are located a picturesque 20 minute stroll to James Street, Burleigh Heads.

Is there public transport?

Within 100 metres of Burleigh Mediterranean Resort is the local bus service stop.

How far is the Gold Coast and Brisbane Airport ?

Burleigh Mediterranean Resort is a short 15 minute drive north from Gold Coast Airport and a 90 minute drive from Brisbane Domestic/International airport.

What is the temperature of the heated indoor pool?

The resort pool is heated to a temperature of 26 degrees and the spa is heated to 38 degrees.  The outdoor pool is heated to 25 degrees during Spring, Summer and Autumn.

What is your check in procedure?

Upon check-in our friendly reservations team will request proof of photo identification for guest security and a pre-authorisation of $200 on a credit card or by cash deposit whichever you prefer for room security purposes.

This procedure is common amongst the resort and self-contained apartment accommodation industry as they are all individually owned unlike that of a Hotel.


Is your reception open 24 hours?

No, unlike a hotel, self-contained apartments do not have a 24 hour reception, our reception hours are as follows;

  • 8.30am – 5pm Monday – Friday
  • 8.30am – 2pm Saturday, Sunday & Public Holidays (may vary)

After hour’s calls are directed through to the night service (dial 9) on your room phone or using the phone located on the outside wall of reception at the main entrance.  The night service employees are trained to answer most questions relating to Burleigh Mediterranean Resort, any urgent calls will be directed to the onsite Manager.

Burleigh Mediterranean Resort is a secure building after hour’s, access to the resort after hours requires your room fob to be swiped at the entrances to the resort.

How close is the beach?

Directly opposite Burleigh Mediterranean Resort, within 50 metre’s is beautiful Burleigh beach.

Are your apartments close to restaurants?

Burleigh Mediterranean Resort is located within a short 5 minute walk to North Burleigh Surf Club which caters for breakfast, lunch and dinners.  All Burleigh Mediterranean Resort guests receive a complimentary North Burleigh Surf Club membership on check in which entitles you to discounted food and beverages for the duration of your stay.

Many other eateries are located within 5-20 minutes walk, North and South directions of the Resort.
